The expected benefits of the project, are the following:

The project outcome could assist Greece to achieve the optimal delineation of OWFs by achieving the minimization of environmental impacts and at the same time the optimization of the socio-economic benefits.

The project could help to build a bridge between the relevant Authorities and stakeholders, the local community and the wider public.

Overall, the project’s outcome will provide benefits for the current and future generations at local, regional, national and European level. It will contribute to at least three of the UN Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goals: GOAL 8 – ‘Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all’, GOAL 13 – ‘Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts’, and GOAL 14 – ‘Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development’.
